COOKIE POLICY

2nd October, 2026.

This Cookie Policy explains how Beauty Vision Ltd t/a Kohana Professional (“Kohana”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Kohana Online Academy website and online learning platform (“Academy”).

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. It has been prepared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and applicable Irish law.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. They allow a website to remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in and understand how the website is used.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Academy securely, keep you signed in to your account, remember your basket and preferences, process payments, display prices in your local currency and understand how visitors use the Academy so that we can improve it.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Academy to work. They enable account sign-in, secure access to purchased courses, your basket and checkout, and protection against fraud and abuse. They cannot be switched off, because the Academy would not function without them.

Preference cookies. These remember choices you make, such as your approximate local currency, dismissed announcements and display settings.

Analytics cookies. Where used, these help us understand how visitors use the Academy, for example which pages are visited most often. Information is collected in aggregated form. We will only use non-essential analytics cookies with your consent where required by law.

Marketing cookies. Where used, these help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including on social media. We will only use marketing cookies with your consent.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by trusted third-party service providers that help us run the Academy, including our payment provider Stripe, which uses cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Embedded content, such as videos or links to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, may also set cookies controlled by those providers. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.

5. How Long Cookies Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. We keep cookie lifetimes no longer than necessary for their purpose.

6. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, or to be notified before a cookie is placed. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in, accessing your courses or completing a purchase.

Where we use non-essential cookies that require consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, legal requirements or our services. The latest version will always be available on this page.
